Kira-Panagia Monastery

Kira-Panagia or Pelagonisi, is the largest uninhabited island in the Northern Sporades. Southeast of the island you will find the monastery, a glebe of the Monastery of Great Lavra on Mount Athos, built in the 16th century. It is a typical sample of an autonomous, post-Byzantine monastery. The old olive press and windmill are preserved till nowadays.

Kira-Panagia is only accessible by boat. The island has two natural harbors: Planitis (North) and Agios Petros (South).
